Premium Bonds: NS&I February prize draw imminent – how to check if you have won
Martin Lewis details how Premium Bonds odds work for savers
Premium Bonds are a popular savings method overseen by National Savings and Investments, otherwise known as NS&I. The government-backed savings institution ensures any money saved is 100 percent safe as it is guaranteed by the treasury. Perhaps the most popular offering from NS&I, though, is its Premium Bonds system which allows people to potentially win big through a monthly prize draw.
Premium Bonds operate through NS&I has lottery bonds, which mean the more someone purchases, the more likely it is they could win.
At the start of each month, a prize draw takes place creating two lucky millionaires, as well as a host of other prize winners, and the February draw is only days away.
NS&I has told its savers the next results for the February prize draw will be available on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
For people who are hoping to win through Premium Bonds, there are certain methods which make the prize draw easy to check.
We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.
Firstly, NS&I has developed a prize checker tool, allowing Bond holders to check their specific numbers.
The tool can be accessed online, and all Britons will need to do is enter their holder’s number to see if they have won.
NS&I savers can expect the prize checker tool to be updated shortly after details of the lucky millionaires are revealed by the institution.
While the Prize Checker can be accessed online, there are also other ways for NS&I savers to use the tool.

Smartphones, and even Amazon Alexa, have the capability to tell Britons whether they have won a prize in February 2021.
In addition, NS&I customers can also be informed of any winnings via post, although this option is to be phased out in full.
It is unclear when the post prize warrant will be totally phased out, however, the process was delayed by NS&I due to the pandemic.
Prize winners who have their details on their NS&I account may also expect to be contacted by email or text message to ensure they do not miss out on their prize.
If a person does find themselves a lucky winner in the February 2021 prize draw, they will need to take action to claim their prize.
For most, this will involve having their prizes paid straight into their bank account, a process NS&I has described as “quick, easy and safe”.
People can expect to receive their prize money from NS&I into their bank account by the seventh working day of the month.
Aside from the postal option, savers could also choose to reinvest a prize they receive into more Bonds.
This can be achieved either through the company’s online portal, or alternatively through an automatic reinvestment form.
