It can be about anything, include any of your pals and even set to a specific location.

Which makes it perfect for a trip, birthday party or a new baby story that you only want to share with your family.

You decide who can add to the Story and who can view it – you can also choose to "geofence" the Story to a location (which stretches about the distance of a residential block) which allows people in that area to see your Story or add to it.

Simply tap the “Create Story” icon located in the top-right corner of the Stories page.

Creating a custom Story

  • Simply tap the “Create Story” (+) icon located in the top right corner of the Stories page to get started.
  • Name your custom Story.
  • Invite a specific list of friends to contribute to the Story, or invite Snapchatters by location.
  • Option 1: Select specific friends who will be able to contribute to and view the Story.
  • Option 2: Place a geofence and invite specific friends or “friends of friends” on Snapchat who are within that area to contribute to and view the Story. Geofences will be about one block in circumference.
  • The option to submit Snaps to the Story will appear right underneath the “My Story” cell.
  • These Stories will appear just like other Stories currently do on the Stories page and will disappear if no one has contributed to the Story in the past 24 hours, or if the creator deletes the Story.
  • Snapchatters can contribute to an unlimited number of Stories at any time, but can only be a creator for three custom Stories at a time.

You'll notice a new option to add a story above "My Story" and "Our Story" this afternoon.

Just tap the “Create Story” icon located in the top-right corner of the Stories page.
Stories disappear if no one has contributed to them in the past 24 hours.

In February 2016 Snapchat announced there were over 10m daily Snapchatters in the UK.

The app has launched lots of new features to keep youngsters hooked as Instagram closes in on its market.

In the past few weeks along there's been an Infinity addition which lets pals drool over sexy pics for as long as they want.

There's also a magic eraser and the option to draw with emojis too.
